made over the course of three years with chef (and neighbor)  hugh acheson , 'a new turn in the south' went on  to become the james beard award winner for best american cookbook in 2012 .  helping with both art direction and the photography, i enjoyed helping hugh visually articulate his ideas and translate his personality onto the page. we are currently working on our third book together, releasing in spring 2015.
