in 2010, i was lucky enough to travel overseas to rural england with mary holland of holland & company to document artisans making her furniture. for over 20 years, mary has worked with these craftsman to produce her designs and it was truly inspiring to not only see them hard at work, but to traverse the countryside with mary. we went from farm workshops to small towns and back again, driving the back roads, stopping to take photos or tour an old manor house, or for a bite to eat. thanks, mary, for such a fun journey. once we were home, it was great to then put my photos in the hands of the talented kim kirby , as she redesigned mary's website giving the photographs centerstage- great work, kim! and, please stay tuned for a new batch of images that mary and i just did together, too.
